The Universe and Spirituality

SHERO on Spirituality: 

I speak of spirituality in the context of us being connected to each other and to the universe. Thus if we hurt someone we are in turn hurting ourselves. This is not a notion of sitting under a willow tree and singing Kumbaya and wishing the ailments of the world to go away. This is about the reality based on science that we are connected and share a universal energy as we share Hydrogen, Helium, Oxygen, Carbon and Nitrogen. In the words of my favourite Astrophysicist Dr. Neil Degrasse #neiltyson "Not only do we exist in the universe but the universe itself exists within us... When you look up at the night sky it's not that we are here and that's there, we are a part of that" If you ever feel disconnected and feel like you don't belong all you have to do is remind yourself of this fact. These elements that we share don't have a clue about race, nationality, beliefs. It's not just blood that we share in common it's every fiber of our being... the irony is that we think that one race is better than another, one gender has more rights than another, one country has more rights than another... When did we give ourselves the right to become so arrogant? Learning about the Universe doesn't make you an atheist, it should make you humble.

Your BEST-SELF Blueprint

SHERO on Responsibility & Opportunity:

An architect designs a house. A fashion designer designs the latest clothes for the season. An engineer designs a car (mechanical) or a bridge (civil). Those are jobs/careers etc. Before any of that can take place we must design our core. We must program ourselves and create our personal blueprint for success. Your blueprint is yours and yours alone. There is no other success blueprint that is the same as yours just as there is nobody that is like you. You are unique. So how do you design your blueprint?

1) Know your values and what you stand for. Ask yourself what is important to me? If you are stuck and confused about values think of it this way. What is your favourite animal? i.e. Dog Why do you love dogs? i.e. because they are loving, loyal, trusting etc (as an example) Thus your values are love, loyalty and trust

2) Write out a list of things you want to accomplish in your life. Everything you can imagine and give it a achievable and time-bound deadline. Ask yourself where do I want to be 1 yr from now, 5 yrs from now, 10 yrs from now?

3) On a daily basis take action towards the goals and values you have outlined. Ask yourself is my action right now taking me towards my goals? For instance if you are an entrepreneur working from home but you are sitting watching something silly on tv. If you are someone who wants to lose 30 lbs and is about to take a bite of that delicious croissant thinking you will start the diet tomorrow.

Every successful person has a blueprint!

Fuel up and let those pistons fire up!

As many of you know there is a very strong connection between what you eat and how you think. Most of us have never had an opportunity to learn about nutrition and its effects on us. The battleground today isn't being talked about on the news networks yet there are casualties across all borders, races, religions and genders.. the battleground is your health. It is crucial that you learn about the foods that you eat, learn about the vitamins that you need, learn about your thought processes and how everything is connected. If you don't have a plan for yourself there are those who will plan things for you.  Is that what you want?  Wouldn't it be better to empower yourself with knowledge and give yourself choices? There are so many options and knowledgeable people out there whether it's holistic medicine, Naturopathic medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, nutritionists etc. Even traditional doctors know that they don't know it all.

The mind body connection is crucial to getting everything you want in life. You can't just visualize something and hope it happens. It would be like sitting in a car and looking out the window towards what you want but not having gas in your car. Your body needs the proper fuel to help it think, process and ultimately take action.... Fuel up and fire up! Let the rubber hit the road.. look out world here you come!

Life is too short to be anything else but a SHERO!

Everyday you wake up and decide that it doesn't matter if others believe in you.. as long as you believe in U. Everyday you wake up and take action based on the clear plan you have written and envisioned for yourself. Everyday you wake up and go beyond the borders of your self-imposed beliefs and limitations. Everyday when you think you are down you decide how to get back up and do so ASAP. All these things and more... make you the d winner!

I will call today Thankful Thursday. Today is a day to thank everyone in your life. Thank all those people that have opened doors for you. Thank all those people who closed doors for you. Thank all those people who loved you unconditionally. Thank all those people who did nothing but criticize you. Thank all those people who believed in your ideas. Thank all those people who thought your idea was.... well you know. Here's why... You are who you are based on all the experiences that have happened to you. You are who you are based on every triumph and tragedy that has come your way. When you look in the mirror and like what you see KNOW that you wouldn't be who you are had you not gone through what you have gone through. If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see then you must take responsibility for owning and interpreting events in such a way that empowers you and propels you forward. Always always always remember... you are in charge of U! Your fingerprint is unique to you as is the impression you will leave personally and globally at work and at play. Get it? Got it? Now go do it!

What is love? Is it ONLY expressed in North America on February 14th and on no other day? Buy into the manipulative marketing machine today if you must.. but remember.. love everyday... you can buy flowers everyday, you can buy chocolates everyday.. he doesn't love you more or less today if he buys you flowers, she doesn't love you more or less if she does the same... If you have saved all your love for just one day.. then you are in trouble.

Your present situation is.....


SHERO on Opportunity: 
Your present situation is not your final destination. You must begin today what you wish to become tomorrow. We tend to put things on hold whether in our personal lives or business, waiting for that perfect moment when everything is just right to make that move. We get set, we get ready... but... we never go because that perfect moment never comes. The Monday to start the diet never comes, the logo for the new business is not right, you won't be happy until x or y... I can guarantee two things... If you do nothing today towards your goals whatever your goals may be... I guarantee you will gain nothing... If you make a move towards your goals... I guarantee that you will get closer to your goals and thus become a better, greater, empowered version of yourself. As always the choice is yours... Personally I always choose the latter and I climb that ladder ;-)

Mother Nature knows a thing or two..

Nature can really teach us many things. Ever heard the expression.. Getting to the root of the problem? This applies to your relationships and your health.. here's how..
When there is a problem at work or in your personal life the smart thing to do is to try to figure out what is really going on underneath it all. In Human Resources they call it the 'IceBerg Effect' You may see someone being agitated, angry, cut off but that is the tip of the iceberg.. we need to see what is really going on underneath the waterline. The same with your body. Many who follow eastern medicine know that the intestine is seen as the root of the body. The place where nutrition is taken in. For instance if you have a skin problem it could likely be that the nutrition is not coming in from the food going into the intestine. (very simplistic version but you get the idea) Now think of a tree... if the leaves of the tree are pale, spotty and diseased what does the smart farmer do??? Looks to the root of the problem.. after all the roots of the tree is where nutrition is taken in from the soil...
