SHERO on Enlightenment: Do not wait until you get to a point of exhaustion and ill health to come to understand the concept that you have within you the ability to master all your problems and make mole hills out of perceived mountains.... Anytime I think I have a problem all I have to do is think of my friend who was struggling with cancer- brain tumour to be precise... all I have to say to myself is what would he give to have my so called problems right now. Do constructive things with your life before the time you think is unlimited shows its limits.

One size does not fit all.


SHERO on Responsibility: People may try to manipulate, they may try to create trouble, their own insecurities may cause them to say something about someone or do things directed to you that may or may not surprise you but at the end of the day.. you are responsible for the way in which your react to it and interpret it. If your course is true and your compass it pointing north be steadfast and move forward. Always remember hurting people hurt people... if we remember only that.. that we all come from a place of wanting to be loved and accepted then everything becomes clear and empathy builds... Do not jump to conclusions life is not just black and white. The toys we grew up with where the circle piece fits in the circle and the square in the square does not apply to the mosaic of psyche's that make us beautifully individual and unique!.... We come in many shapes and sizes... one size does not fit all.

GOSSIP is venom!

Let's live life with integrity and authenticity!
 
SHERO on Enlightenment: GOSSIP is the most detrimental component of our society. It doesn't matter what our ethnic or cultural backgrounds are.. We all do it.. We all must stop doing it. He said, She said...Did you hear about... You didn't hear it from me but.... Don't spread hearsay, that is information from a third party that you have no evidence of... Don't be used as part of the misinformation delivery method. If you are going to share information with a third party about somebody else make sure it is something you would have no problem telling the person to their face. As you go through your day to day speaking to people imagine that all your words are being recorded, imagine that you have a video camera on you that shows all your facial expressions.. we are usually very unattractive when we share negative destructive thoughts... Sounds like a lot of work doesn't it? However, the damage that is caused from not making conscious choices can not only damage other peoples lives but yours as well. Make a conscious choice to share nothing but constructive thoughts... Whether you are a full time politician or a mother who is taking her children to baseball lessons... GOSSIP needs to stop... it is a very destructive part of our society. Let's live life with integrity and authenticity.. Let's do it!

A little Rant...

An Evening Rant..... Ladies and Gentleman of planet earth...There is no magic pill that will take away any of the difficulties that we are going through at the moment... If you are overweight it is not possible to lose it all in 5 days... If you are in debt it will take time to get out of it... All relationships business or personal take work by both parties not just one... at the end of it all it takes WORK to get yourself out of a bad situation into a constructive one.... stop looking for band aid solutions to problems and quick fixes.. be willing to do the work to make it better... it will take time, patience, persistence, and effort.... not one person can solve your problem.. it begins with YOU!.... how bad do you want to change your state of being, of living, of contributing... Release your ego, acknowledge mistakes and make a change happen.... if nothing else put on your running shoes and go for a walk around the block.. seriously!

SHERO on Opportunity: You have heard me mention this many many times.. if there is a goal you want to achieve and it hasn't happened yet there is something you don't know.. Doing the same thing over and over again will give you the same results... in order to achieve a different outcome you must reappraise a situation.. you have to step back and look at things from a different perspective and with added/new information... It doesn't mean you are quitting your goals it means you are redefining, recharging, reevaluating.. etc etc.... the sooner you do it the sooner you get closer to your goals.

SHERO on Responsibility: Your journey is your journey. Do not compare yourself to others. Do not feel sorry for yourself if things are not going the way you want them at the moment. There will always be bumps in the road but you choose how to react to them and move forward. If you have a clear vision and action steps then you will get what you want.. you must persevere and most importantly YOU must look forward not behind or over your shoulder. Great things come with great sacrifice... how bad do you want what you want? The sun is always there.. even when it's raining!

Because what brings us together is far greater than what separates us.... and what separates us is simply unchallenged and unsubstantiated beliefs...own who you are and your heritage.. improve upon it with each passing page....You have the right to write a new constructive page in human history... Martin Luther had a dream.. it's time to wake up and take action.

If you are surrounded by negative people.. you always have the choice to remove yourself from that situation or slowly become one of them...Of all the choices you make today.. make sure they are done with the best of intentions and with integrity.

SHERO on Spirituality: It is so easy to fall into the 'us vs them' trap... but it is just as easy to think that we are interdependently connected... at the end of the day it is all about CHOICES we make.... choose wisely... When you play the 'us vs them' game not only are you causing animosity on the outside you are hurting your body on the inside... this is called lose lose... think win win...

Get SET, Get SHERO!


SHERO on Enlightenment: There are lessons to be learned every moment of the day.. no matter where you are.. yup even in the line up at Canada's Tim Horton's... As I was standing there I saw a poster in the background meant for the employees.. It simply said SET.. They use it as an acronym to communicate Smile, Eye contact and Thank You to customers.. It made me think what a great idea as we go about our day to day.. To smile, to have eye contact with strangers and to thank the powers that be (whatever or whomever you believe in) for all the things we have... I walked away thinking Get SET, Get SHERO! :-)
