YOU INC!

SHERO on Opportunity: 

What do you think of when you hear the word leadership? Is it about a title given to someone ie. President, CEO etc or is it how one carries themselves with or without a title. The reality is that quite often there are those who have the title of leaders but do not have a clue how to lead and there are those who have no title but have a major constructive influence with their family, friends & community. You do not need a title to be your own boss. By that I do not mean to own your own business (although that is great) What I mean is that you should be YOU INC. i.e Rebecca Inc. SHERO inc. etc... what that means is that you have your own high standards of being, living, learning, growing etc that is far beyond any expectations set for you by anybody else. If you do not learn to lead yourself with high standards and values someone will swoop in and set standards for you. More often than not the standards set by others for you are based on their own limitations... So you have to ask yourself.. live a life empowered, engaged where the universe is unlimited as are the possibilities or follow a sheep with a title who thinks of you as nothing more than just another sheep.

You do not need an external title to be a leader.. you were given that title the minute you were born.. YOU INC!

The Future is So Bright I have to Wear Shades!

SHERO on Responsibility: 

When I speak of responsibility it simply means taking charge of your emotions and reactions. Not allowing others to manipulate you. Being aware of the reason you react to things and whether it is constructive or not. It does not mean that you become a serious person void of humour. It is crucial that you learn to laugh at yourself and have fun. Fun, creativity, humour etc is a must... your life is not just about rules and regulations, it is about constructive values, laughing when you make mistakes, getting over yourself and your misleading ego and moving on... Have fun today.. I did!

Let your Spirit Grow and Expand.. here is how...

SHERO on Spirituality: 

Be prepared to connect with others on a daily basis. It does not matter what their background is. Never judge and label a person from the second you meet them based on others beliefs and labels. You will be doing a great disservice to yourself and shutting down the opportunity to connect and bridge worlds and who knows what other opportunities. You will never know if you do not try. Sometimes when you least expect it you may meet someone that will give you insight into a situation or help you expand on what you already know. In order to receive the information your heart has to be open and you must be living in the moment. Everything happens for a reason and in the right time place and sequence. Sometimes it can happen when you are sharing the elevator with someone. Sometimes it can happen when you are walking down the same street you have been walking for many years. Sometimes it can happen when you take a taxi (where you normally never do) and you find that the taxi driver is not even the taxi driver he is just helping out his brother for that day... Incredible world we live in.

SHERO on Humanity: 

Everybody needs encouragement. Whether a small child who needs to know they are loved or an employee that needs to hear that their work and contribution matters. A word of kindness, a lending hand, words that will inspire and propel somebody else forward. By helping someone you are also helping yourself... making someone feel good automatically makes you feel good. It's called Serotonin. You never know how your constructive whisper, your loving words, your tender smile will transform someone else. You may not be around to see it but know that it will impact them, their community and who knows maybe society! (Below is one of my favorite pics with my girlfriends daughter... I hope I said something loving to her that may have made a difference in her life.. maybe ;-)

DISCIPLINE.. I suggest you make friends with it! :-)

SHERO on Opportunity: 

Discipline is the only thing that will get you from this point to where it is you want to be! The Discipline to Start, the discipline to Finish. The Discipline to get up early and stay late at night to finish whatever it is you want. The Discipline to watch what we eat and not give in to too many sweets and fats assuming our goal is to be healthy. Whatever you have decided to change about yourself it will take discipline to accomplish it. There are no quick fixes, no shortcuts. You can only get to where you want to go by perseverance, dedication, tenacity and confidence. Every time you set goals for yourself and accomplish them you become a more valuable person not just to yourself but to society. The confidence you feel when you meet and exceed your goals may far outweigh what you have sacrificed to attain it. But that is ultimately for you to decide. If it is something that you really really want its up to you to get it. All the great achievers in the world have not waited for their ship to come in.. they have build their own...or if you are not into ships... drive your future forward! ;-)
