Oh the place you will go - but you have to start...
DAY 21 - JULY POSITIVITY CHALLENGE...
Coming home from the airport on the Canada line I wanted to sit in the very front by the window. When I approached there was a woman sitting in the front seat closest to the aisle with her bag on the next seat as if she was reserving it for someone. She had the best seat in the house and so did her bag. Although her bag had not paid for the extra seat. I had a choice to ask her to move her bag but I decided to sit behind her and observe the situation as it unfolded...The train was getting full, from afar people thought the seat beside her was empty. They would approach, see the bag on the empty seat, not say a word and go back in the train. Then I heard the voice of a little boy. 'Mom I want to sit in the front of the train there is an empty seat I can see it from here'.. what appeared to me to be a six year old ran to the front of the train and literally planted himself next to the bag which made the owner remove the bag and put it on her lap. This child has not been conditioned by limiting beliefs yet. He knew what he wanted and he went for it. He didn't approach with fear, he just approached. He made a move where most people didn't.
Somewhere between the age of 6 and adulthood we became fearful, shy, restrained... how did this happen? What beliefs did we tap into that limited us? Today, do something constructive you wouldn't ordinarily do.. I challenge you! As Dr. Seuss said "Oh the place you will go" But you have to take the first step....
